Yes, INTJs have emotions. A reason for the “emotionless machine” stereotype is that INTJs are not the type to dwell on their emotions, leaving them bottled up for a long time. Most INTJs don’t feel comfortable with crying or any overt expression of emotion. They will often attempt to hold their sadness in for a long time, until it boils over. INTJs cry because they have gone too long without allowing themselves to recognize their emotional state. A times like these, INTJs are both pained by whatever it is that caused them to cry, and disconcerted by the fact that they can’t control their emotions. INTJs will often attempt to keep these lapses in control to themselves.
